Question by Sarah T: Is there a good place to recycle old electronics?
I have an old digital camera. I don’t want to throw it away. Is there anywhere I can send it where they’ll recycle or use it?

Check your area for an electronics recycling center. There’s one in a neighboring city where I live, and I usually drop take mine there. You can even get a tax deduction–they give you the forms when you drop off your stuff.
What do you think? Answer below!
Go to http://www.earth911.org/master.asp?s=ls&a=Recycle&cat=1 where there is an entire section for electronics recycling. You enter your zip code and you will get a list in order of distance.
You can also donate it to a local animal shelter, where they can use it to post photos of pets ready for adoption on Pets 911. Photos get better response than posting without photos, and animal shelters don’t have big budgets. Many are non-profit, so that you can also take a tax deduction for the donation.
You can search for the closest animal shelter at http://www.pets911.com/organizations/organizations.php
