Question by Beth R: What is the best way to recycle used batteries?
My office uses AA and AAA batteries in almost everything. It’s a great opportunity to recycle, but i don’t know who to contact. I live in Texas, sort of near Houston.

I know over here in the UK, some places have batteries bins for recycling. Similar to ones we have for glass bottles and newspapers. Speak to your local council (or whatever you have in america lol)

why not suggest a battery re-charger, it’ll save having to throw away all the batteries at all & save money

In Chicago you can drop then off in a special receptacle at all of the local branches of the local libraries and (at least some) Walgreens, so if the prior answer doesn’t work for you, you might want to check with those two options locally. Thanks for caring and not dumping them in the landfill!

put your used batteries in a separate bag in with your glass recycling bag which goes out for collection once a month in the chester area.
