How do you delete the recycle bin icon from the desktop?

Question by millerlite: How do you delete the recycle bin icon from the desktop?
I have another recycle bin icon so i want to get rid of the one on the desktop does anyone know how?

dont think you can.. just drag it to a corner… thats what i do

    right click on the recycle bin. then look through the choices and click delete.

    yeah, all you have to do is right click on the desktop and click properties…with vista it’s personalize. Then click desktop icons (same on both vista and XP) There you will have the basic icons on your desktop…My computer, network neighborhood, my documents, and even Recycle Bin. Uncheck the one you dont want, click ok…thats it!

    If you have Vista:

    1. Right click the Vista Desktop
    2. Click on Personalize
    3. Select: ‘Change desktop icons’
    4. At the Desktop Icon Settings, untick the box next to: ‘Recycle Bin’.
