i have a LOT of garden waste at my house, so I hired a ‘garden bin’ which looks like a massive tarpaulin fabric like basket which you fill up and then the company take it away and replace with an empty one. I pay about per 3 months. is that an option?

What do you think? Answer below!

everyone gets charged these days to dispose of ANY kind of waste, be it garden, kitchen, builders or whatever….. your best bet with household waste is to separate it into recylables, green and hard wastes…. recyle cans and bottles and some cardboards and newspapers….. green is garden, kitchen peels and such, and hard is about everything else….. from old shoes to furniture and appliances…. and some of THAT can be recycled, too….

if you keep the green stuff at home and use it in a compost pile, you wont’ be paying for that one…. and they don’t charge you to recycle, some thiings they pay YOU for, like metal, cans and such….. the hard stuff you do have to pay for, as it goes to landfill or is shipped out and that costs someone… you may not avoid charges, but they’ll be less…

and when you have hazardous stuff, paints, and pesticides and such, you must ask the city where and when they collect that stuff….ours is free, but they might charge a fee there, too…

it has come to where we must take charge of our trash and do the best job we can of keeping the good stuff and finding the best way to be rid of the rest…. fines for those who think it’s ok to just dump it off the side of the road have gone from a couple hundred bucks to several THOUSAND now…. no more hauling old tires out of creeks….yay!….
