I now have two…soon to be three! These simplehuman recycling bins are high quality and fit nicely in very small spaces. Plus they are stack-able which makes them even more space efficient. Sorting is a breeze as the dial panel allows you to designate which type of recycling material goes inside.
The drop hole front is handy (ie soda cans)and the lift flap lets you put larger containers (ie 2 liter soda bottles) in without removing the lid.
Note there are two different color options as well 🙂

First off, it’s small and it doesn’t hold a lot, but it works for me because I live in a condo and have to haul my trash and recycling to a community dumpster. Small also means it fits nice and neat into a corner of my pantry.
The hole in the front of the lid lets you slide in cans and water bottles and it lifts up for the larger items. A dial on the side reminds you of what goes where.

We got this recycler at Lowe’s for about the same price. We also got the matching flip-top trash can. Like most simplehuman products I’ve tried, this is intelligently thought out to be as functional as possible for its purpose. There is a dial on the can that can be turned to plastic, aluminum, paper and glass. They stack nicely on each other to save space and the flip top is good for items that are slightly too big to just drop through the hole. The whole top comes off when it’s time to take everything out. I actually bought one at first and then realized I needed a separate can for paper so I went back and got the second. I do not yet have the special simplehuman blue K type liners for the glass/plastic recycler, but I do plan to purchase some. For now I am just using our regular trash bags.
