Question by jumpergirl3005: What are some ways to get high school students to join the school recycling club?
My high school’s recycling club needs more members. There is some heav lifting involved, as we lift boxes full of recycled paper and dump them into the recycling bin. But i can’t think of ways to get people to join.

well nobody likes to pick up trash especially at a school, keep in mind that its high school the popularity thing really takes place people make fun of people who do don’t do what is considered cool. the only way i see people joining that group is if they are getting something out of it like money or something that could benefit them in school. but if that doesn’t work just get all the people who get detention or in trouble then you will have all the help you need

I am a high school student, it is easier to throw the stuff in the garbage then find a recycling bin, i think you should have some activities that they can do to get people to join or have a reward for the person who wins and let them know what the prize is because if they don’t know they wont care.
offer them extra marks or some other reward. if the students are apethetic like me, they wouldnt join the club no matter what you offer them
well, the best way i can think of is raising money and having parties and stuff like that. that would seem most interesting to high school students most likely. The party could be simple too. Maybe just pizza and soda. Not to expensive but will get people to come and think of joining.
First, make posters that advertise an informational meeting about the club and that there will be free pizza there. Then order pizza for the meeting.
