Puako Transfer Station Recycling

The transfer station is only open a few hours a week, on three days. (The transfer station is where you can put stuff and the County hauls it to the dump.) In addition to dump stuff, it is where you do recycling (no curbside here.) You can recycle only types 1,2 and 5 plastic, plus cardboard and cans. Glass goes in another container. Then the HI 5 drink cans, plastic bottles, and glass bottles each get weighed separately and you get your money. This is what one goes thru to recycle here. Sigh. The mixed recycling bin was full but this time there was a second one you could walk to over some miscellaneous trash to the back of the property and hurl yur stuff. Ted did.
