    Sounds like you are rural. Urban waste (in my area) always has “blue bins” that are specifically for paper, cans and plastic. If your area doesn’t, save up your stuff and turn them in to a local rotating recycling centers (You might want to save up a few 33 Gal. trash liners for this) and go for it!!.
