Rama orders landfill closed
CEBU City Mayor Michael Rama issued yesterday an order closing the Inayawan Sanitary Landfill to all forms of municipal solid wastes. The move was lauded by environmentalists. The 15.4-ha. facility in Barangay Inayawan, however, will still house garbage, but only segregated and residual wastes, which are non-biodegradable and non-recyclable. read more
