Sanford trashes pay-as-you-throw program
SANFORD – The votes are in and the purple trash bags are gone from Sanford curbsides. On Election Day, Sanford voters decided by a 61 percent majority to repeal the pay-as-you-throw waste disposal program, with 4,133 of 6,817 voters in favor of getting rid of the program.
