Santa Barbara trash wars: Marborg, Allied battle over ‘Noleta,’ as county set to open bid process for new hauler
For the first time in nearly four decades, the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors is looking for a new hauler to pick up trash in ‘Noleta.’ The supervisors’ expected move to seek bidders today for the million contract serving about 5,000 residents sets the stage for a dramatic battle between Marborg Industries and Allied Waste Services, the second largest trash hauler in the country.
