Solid waste costs nudge Mount Waddington district taxes upwards
PORT McNEILL — The Regional District of Mount Waddington kept a lid on the expenses it could control in the coming year. But the one expense it couldn’t control will result in a bump to residents’ tax bills in the coming year, according to the Five Year Financial Plan presented to the board at its regular meeting Mar. 15.

TAM seeks recertification of operation
Wednesday March 23, 2011 SHAFTSBURY — Trevor Mance, of TAM Waste Management, appeared before the Shaftsbury Select Board on Monday to seek re-certification for his company’s recycling center and transfer station. July will mark the fifth anniversary of Mance’s transfer station on North Road, and he said re-certification this year would be for a 10-year span.
