The term waste management refers to the whole process of collecting, storing, sorting, and recycling. Waste management is really an environment friendly task and should be taken very seriously normally there are two methods of waste management sanitary or engineered landfill and composting. Other existing methods include: petrification, bailing, land burial and pyrolysis, just to mention a few. Out of these methods only sanitary landfill, stream dumping and land burial permanent waste disposal techniques where as other techniques are just to reduce the waste volume.

There are lots of countries that have followed the techniques of waste management but some are still failing to do so. Such as in city like Nigeria the solid waste management is a critical problem the Nigerian government is taking all possible method to use waste management techniques but still they are not completely successful. The main problem for Nigeria is the Nigerian communities who lack participation in solid waste management and also are the solid waste generators. According to the survey in 2004 it was founded that the attitude and ego of Nigerian communities effected to waste management system to failure.

The rate of solid waste is increasing day by day and still many are oblivious that waste management recycling by plummeting the utilization of fresh raw materials can actually lower greenhouse gas emissions. By this way we can reduce air pollution and water infectivity. We should know the damage that can happen to our planet if we don’t take necessary step in the right time, if we keep our attitude and ego in front of environment than there will soon come the time where no one can save us from the death of natural calamities.

If we are unable to take the proper waste management activity now than in future there we will be responsible for leading problem arising due to global warming as we will be going to pollute to air and make the climate warmer which will result in global warming and at last will affect the glaciers increasing the sea level and risk for flood in all countries.
