It is estimated that only 70% of the U.S. population recycles , but this is still not good enough seeing that all the programs are in place for recycling. The Harris poll indicates that it is approximately 25% of the population who doesn’t recycle That is a lot , Ok, so you might think: This is a normal number because most adults weren’t taught as children to recycle , but young adults are recycling, correct?” Wrong, again ! . About 3 out of every ten people aged 18 to 30 do not separate their aluminum, paper, or glass from their garbageand that is 30 percent and that is 30 percent .,
Naturally, you would think that there is an even smaller percentage of Seniors who are recycling. In actuality, this section of the population recycles more than anyone else
What Percentage of People Recycle and Why isn’t Everyone else Doing the Same?
many people stated that recycling took up too much of their time . Maybe the following quick fact will change their mind. taking the time to recycle only takes 5% of the energy that is needed to produce more of the product. This signifiesthat we can keep resources that are already limited but we can also stop harming the atmosphere as much by minimizing the amount of carbon emissions we put into the air, and this can be by as much as 95%.

This study also showed that the percentage according to the area of the U.S, where they resided. For instance, residents of the east and west cost where more likely to recycle. There was a larger percentage of people that recycled. In this section almost 86% of people recycled. On the other hand people from in the South did not recycle as often. It is estimated that only 67 to 70% of the population recycled here.
The people interviewed stated they did not have enough time to recycle}. Other people said it took too much effort to recycle.
