Question by Joyce: What to do with used regular batteries Recycling center no longer takes them?
The Brown County Recycling center will now only take rechargeable batteries (individually wrapped & separate) I am told by a co-worker, and no longer accepts the regular type of used batteries. Any ideas on who, where or how to dispose of these now? We collect quite a few at work. Thanks for your help!

stourbridge recycling on the birmingham road has a skip for all batteries. it is run by the council.
Frequently Radio shack has a collection barrel; call them.
Store them. We have periodic hazardous waste collections around here. If you use enough where that is at all an inconvenient, get rechargeables. They aren’t that expensive.
