Only have to get one ever 2-3 years, got to love these laser printers.
Please recycle you older unit to local stores that will give you a store credit for it.

Printer cartridges are so expensive that the last time I replaced mine I went with a refurbished one. There’s a HUGE difference. The refurbished one made every page look as if it had been run over by a truck on a gritty street. This HP C7115X Ultra Precise Toner Cartridge is worth every penny (almost twice as much as the refurbished). The print is very crisp and clean, with absolutely no specs anywhere. This is the gold standard. This one also prints more pages than the next model down, and for the little extra it’s a bargain.

I have just ordered my replacement cartidge and the last one printed 4637 pages in 14 months. I can’t say enough good things. Don’t sacrifice quality for price. I tried the off-brand cartidge and was not satisifed. The color on the HP is true black and they last and last!

This cartridge is worth the extra money over its more economical version: It lasts longer and prints more cleanly, and can better handle delicate imagery. A good investment for home customers; in our house, under moderate use, it lasts about six months. In this case, the name brand is worth the extra bucks. Don’t go with a cheaper imitation, not even from HP itself.
