If you are looking for a company where you can drop off the waste computer parts at, check out http://www.keepitgreen.org. They employ local residents with disabilities and disassemble computers to recycle the parts and keep them out of the landfill (they also accept computer parts). There’s a $10 fee for CRT monitors to defray the costs of the lead inside, everything else is free. They take just about anything.
They have locations in Wilmington DE, Fayetteville NC and Northern Virginia.
If you call the local prisons or detintion centers a lot of the time the use computers and computer parts to teach skills or for inmates to just log books in the libraries
