Rendell signs public pension, recycling bills
HARRISBURG (AP) — Gov. Ed Rendell has signed bills that reduce pension benefits for newly hired state and public-school employees and require the establishment of recycling programs for electronic devices, his office said Wednesday.

Toledo trash, recycling dates to advance by 2 days
BLADE STAFF Toledo officials remind residents that refuse and recycling collection will “leap forward” two days because of the Thanksgiving holiday observance on Thursday and Friday. Green 1 collection will be Nov. 29, Orange 1 on Nov. 30, Blue 1 on Dec. 1, Red 1 on Dec. 2, and Yellow 2 on Dec. 3. Leap Forward calendars can be viewed at toledo.oh.gov.
